Ingredient Disclosure

"My laundry detergent actually makes me excited to do the laundry. It smells sooo good. When the bottle is empty I feel it with hot water in my bathtub and cherishly Aroma in there before recycling the bottle! Love, love love the frankincense and Myrrh, and actually ALL scents that I've gotten. And they also clean the clothes very well and need to use little detergent I probably use too much just cuz I love it. Smells nice, but that’s all

"Sadly, I noticed my clothes were not very clean after using this laundry soap. It snelled nice, but I noticed stuff on my clothes that normal detergent would have removed. I had to rewash the clothes with my normal detergent. And my clothes weren’t very dirty either… oh well, I wanted to try it because I really love the frankincense and myrrh scent."

"I tried Zum laundry detergent for the first time a few years ago, after my Aunt who is a faithful Zum customer, introduced me to it. I thought the frankincense & myrrh would be to overpowering, like the incense you burn. But, I was thoroughly surprised that it wasn't. This has become my favorite laundry soap. I’ve been using this laundry soap for several years now, and was wondering if it’s safe to use with my newborn’s clothes
Hello, Lots of people enjoy using Zum Laundry Soap because it's free of any harsh ingredients or detergents! However, we always recommend checking with your pediatrician if you have any concerns :)
What is the shelf life of the laundry detergents?
Our Laundry Soap is shelf stable for up to three years! It will thicken and darken a bit as time goes on, but that is normal with natural products.
I have been considering this laundry soap for several months — I just returned from 5 yrs in the Middle East and I miss terribly the ouf scented laundry soap that I got there — but I have seen several recent reviews saying that the formulation of the frankincense and myrrh scent seems to have changed to be less intense and that the soap is now watery and does not clean as well. Would you please address this concern for me so that I can make a decision about purchasing this more expensive product?
Hi Shannon, Thanks for reaching out. Rest assured, our Zum Laundry Soap has not changed. Our essential oils naturally darken over the course of a few weeks. The reason some customers are experiencing a lighter color is because we are selling more laundry soap than ever before, meaning they are getting very fresh bottles :) Left unused for a few weeks it would slowly darken like older bottles.
