We haven’t been able to make Patchouli Laundry Soap for over a year due to a crop shortfall, and in order to make our fan-favorite Patchouli blend again, we had to raise our price slightly. This is because we use real patchouli, not synthetic substitutes, and as a result, you’re seeing a small price increase.

"The scent is subtle and I like it. I mixed it with some Zum Lavender Soap because I cannot get the patchouli scent at my local store. I wanted it to last longer. I make my own bath products and mix patchouli, lavender and rosemary so the blended scent of the two laundry detergents smells nice."
"After a year of waiting the Patchouli scent supposedly is back! NO ITS NOT! I purchased a new bottle recently and not even close to smelling like the old from last year(s) past. Customer service told me to let it sit and the smell will come. That is a crock of crap. It ether smells like it or it doesn't. "When essential oils sit, they slowly undergo oxidation—a chemical reaction caused by exposure to oxygen, light, and heat . This process degrades their therapeutic properties, alters their scent, and can eventually cause the oil to go rancid or irritate your skin. " There you have it. "ZUM" needs to stop lying and give up back our beloved scent."
"I used Zum patchouli for years until it was out of stock so I really missed it and although others were good, nothing compares to patchouli! Some reviews stated that the new version of patchouli laundry soap is weaker and I thought maybe it is but then walked into my bedroom after the bedding was washed in it and it smells heavenly in there! "Very disappointed with Zum Laundry soap patchouli scent. My purchase was because someone at work washes his clothes with this and I absolutely love love love this fragrance. My newly washed clothes do not smell at all, much less like patchouli! I read other comments where the formula has been changed. I purchased 2 bottles and wish I hadn't. Also, since using your product, my washer has a moldy smell where it never did using my old product. Please go back to the old formula where there is a wonderful patchouli fragrance. I wish I could return these bottles."

"This formula is NOT the same! Spent so much money on these laundry bottles as soon as they came back in stock and it’s horrible. My washer smelled musty and I couldn’t figure out why. It doesn’t smell good or like anything that it should. I sent an email to the company and got ZERO response. Very disappointing!"
